My Rhine Gold

The gold in the Rhine – the tree of knowledge, the paradise. It could be the primaeval forest, the Amazon. And Wotan sits in his library like Alexander von Humboldt, discovering, knowing, pondering. In the end, however, eternal knowledge burns, the trees are untimbered and the paper is ash.

Love survives as an idea and song contrary to all reason. Opera is intelligent irrationality and every note is soul power. My longing is to give a space to the sound of opera and a breath to humanity, as a mirror of truth for the stage. Thus, gold is my passion.
